-

LUDHIANA: A delegation of the Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) leaders, led by its president and Atam NagarMLA Simarjeet Singh Bains, on Sunday left for Lakhimpur Kheri to participate in the antim ardas to be held on October 12, of farmers who died in violence.

Seeking speedy inquiry into the case, the LIP leaders demanded that the Union minister of state for home Ajay Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra should be booked under Section 120-B (punishment of criminal conspiracy).

The minister should be removed from the Union cabinet for a fair probe, they said.

Bains said they will meet families of deceased farmers to express solidarity with them and the agitation. “The Centre is trying to suppress the agitation and it was a pre-planned attack on the farmers. Action should be taken against the minister ,” said Bains. HTC
