Vaishno Devi darshan for Sidhu
Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu headed to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu after winding up his protest against the death of four farmers in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence in Uttar Pradesh. “Darshan of the primordial mother during Navratras is synergising… Washes away all the dirt from the soul!! Blessed to be at the lotus feet of Mata Vaishno Devi,” he tweeted on Sunday afternoon with photos of his trip. Accompanying the PPCC chief on the Navratras pilgrimage were cabinet minister Vijay Inder Singla and party MLA Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal – both staunch loyalists of his bête noire, former chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh, till recently. In doing so, Sidhu skipped chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi’s son’s wedding function in Mohali.
