Three gangsters held in Kurukshetra
KURUKSHETRA: The Kurukshetra police on Saturday claimed to have busted a gang of dacoits by arresting three men on Friday night.
The trio had allegedly snatched Rs 3 lakh from a businessman of Punjab in police uniform.
Malkiat Singh, police inspector, Thanesar, said Pawan Kumar, a businessman of Barnala (Punjab), had filed a complaint here on April 19 that a “commission agent” had called him here to purchase rice.
He had received the agent at the railway station and took him on an autorickshaw to the local grain market for payment of Rs 2 lakh. However, when they reached near Ramnagar, close to the grain market, five to six persons in police uniform came in a car and stopped them. They allegedly snatched a bag containing Rs 3 lakh from him.

II to inquire into the matter. During investigation, the police received information that a few members of the gang were present at Karnal.
Following a raid, the police arrested three persons on doubt who were later identified as Ramesh Kumar and Vikky of Bainsi village, and Balwan Singh of Karak Jatan village in Rohtak district of Haryana.
During interrogation, they confessed the crime and disclosed that the mastermind of the crime was Arjun, son of Kanshi Ram, a resident of Bainsi village. They further said that Bhim of Rohtak was also involved in the loot.
After being produced in the court on Saturday, they were remanded in two- day police custody.
