MANSA/BATHINDA: Two of the three undertrials who escaped after killing a head constable on Thursday were killed in an encounter with Mansa police near Behniwal village of Mansa in the wee hours of Saturday.
Police said the third undertrial managed to escape.

four hours at the fields of Behniwal village before the two were shot dead and the third succeeded in escaping on a motorcycle.
Those killed have been identified as Kulwinder Singh and Nahar Singh, whereas Jaswinder Singh, brother of deceased Kulwinder, succeeded in escaping.
Mansa Police had recovered a snatched self- loading rifle (SLR) and a local made .32 bore pistol from the deceased, he added.
The three had on Thursday evening escaped from police custody near Misarkhana village in Bathinda after snatching an SLR from policemen and killing a head constable, injuring another constable.
Gupta said all three accused were hardcore criminals and inter-state gangsters, who were involved in a number of criminal activities in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.
