M ata Gujri College, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib was established in 1957 with the vision and tireless efforts of Bibi Gurbachan Kaur Mann. Spread over more than 25 acres of lush green Land College was taken over by the SGPC Sri Amritsar in 1964. College is affiliated to P unjabi University, Patiala. DMCs and Degrees to the students are awarded by the Punjabi university, Patiala. The college is progressing under the dynamic leadership of Jathedar S. Av tar Singh, The President, SGPC who is also president of the college governing body. Under the able guidance of visionary Jathedar S. Avtar Singh college is trend setters for others. S.Ranjit Singh Libra is Honorary Secretary of the college management committee. Dr Jatinder Singh Sidhu is working as a director principal of the college. He is very hard working and dedicated administrator. He introduced latest courses in the college successfully every year. With the permission of Government of Punjab headed by Honorable Chief Minister of Punjab S. Parkash Singh Badal, Mata Gujri College got status of Autonomous College by UGC.
