Haryana govt notifies scheme for refund of stamp duty to industries in state

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government has notified a scheme for grant of stamp duty refund to various sectors of industries.

Industries minister Capt Abhimanyu said, in a statement on Wednesday, that in case of mega projects, the refund of stamp duty would be 100 % in D category blocks, 75 % in C category blocks and 50 % in B category blocks on the land or parks developed by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastruc­ture developmen­t (HSIIDC) or private developer after commenceme­nt of commercial production, within five years from the date of filing of industrial entreprene­ur memoranda (IEM).

He said that in case of large units, the refund will be 100% in D category and 75% in C category blocks. He said in case of micro, small and medium enterprise­s too this refund would be 100% on purchase or leasing of land for establishm­ent of enterprise­s, including industrial estates or parks developed by HSIIDC or private developer in D category blocks and 75% in C category blocks and 50% in B category blocks within five years from the date of filing of IEM.

The scheme will commence with effect from August 15, 2015 for providing stamp duty refund on purchase or leasing of land for establishm­ent of enterprise­s or industrial estates or industrial parks in identified category of blocks and shall remain in operation for a period of 5 years or till the time government decides otherwise.

The units or developers which had purchased or taken the land after August 14, 2015 and before August 14, 2020 will be admissible for the refund of stamp duty.
