JALANDHAR: Alleging that officer on special duty (OSD) to deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and a DGP-rank officer were in touch with liquor baron Shiv Lal Doda on phone during the Fazilka sub- jail raid, senior Congress leader Sunil Jakhar on Saturday said he has lodged a complaint with the state chief election commissioner.

Addressing a press conference here, Jakhar said the ruling government was trying to hush up the case.

He also disclosed four phone numbers allegedly being used by Dodas and his cook and demanded that the tower location and call details of these numbers should be scanned to ascertain who all were in touch with Doda during the raid.

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) should expel its leaders, who were found holding secret meeting with Doda, he added.

Jakhar also asked the election commission to conduct a raid at Amritsar jail where Doda has been shifted.
