KURUKSHETRA: A day after former MLA Roshan Lal Arya announced the launch of a new political outfit ‘Haryana Sarvjan Party’ and named BJP MP from Kurukshetra Rajkumar Saini as its national president and chief ministerial candidate, the latter on Saturday distanced himself from Arya and the new party.

“I have nothing to do with this new party and Arya did not even talk to me about this,” Saini said while talking to mediapersons at his residence in Kurukshera

ARYA HAD NAMED KURUKSHETRA MP AS NATIONAL PRESIDENT AND CHIEF MINISTERIAL CANDIDATE OF HARYANA SARVJAN PARTY

on Saturday.

“I will never share a dais with Arya for any programme of the new outfit. If he wants to work for our Loktantra Suraksha Manch, we will welcome him,” he added. Asked if he will form his own political outfit in future, Saini said, “I can’t say anything about it now.

The decision will be taken at a right time in consultation with my supporters.”

Meanwhile, Saini slammed All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti (AIJASS) president Yashpal Malik for pressuring the state government to accept all illegitimate demands of the Jat community. “How can the government accept their all demands, as many of them are illegitimate and cannot be fulfilled.”

Asked whether chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar is working under pressure from the protesting Jats, he said, “The chief minister is trying to end this agitation and that’s why he has given assurance to them that the government will consider their demands as per the law. But they are now using derogatory remarks against the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister.”

Over the SYL issue, he said the INLD leaders are playing a friendly match with Punjab’s Shiromani Akali Dal for its political survival. “Abhay Chautala wanted to get arrested by the Haryana police to disturb the peace in the state, but the state police did not fulfill his wish,” he added.
