Batala girl ‘gang-raped’ by ‘lover’, his five friends
BATALA: A 21-year-old girl was reportedly gang-raped by her lover and his five friends here at Dera Baba Nanak on Saturday evening.
The station house officer (SHO) Dera Baba Nanak police station, Ravinder Singh said that in her complaint to police, the victim told that she was in relationship with Rajjan of Nikki Saran village from seven months.
As per information available Rajan called the victim to meet and later on took her to his friend Jagroop Singh’s house on Saturday evening.
“Rajan locked me in a room and later on called his friends Gurpreet Singh, Wagir Singh, Pamma and Gola.”
The six accused, who are in their twenties, raped the victim.
The victim said that the accused also threatened her of dire consequences if she reports the incident to anyone.
After conducting the medical of the victim, the police registered a case under Sections 376 D (gang rape of woman) and 506 ( punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code against all the six persons.
The police officials have arrested three accused persons Rajan, Jagroop and Gurpreet Singh while three others are absconding.
2 BOOKED FOR RAPING A TEENAGE GIRL
The Qadian police have booked two persons on the charges of raping a 19-year-old girl on Monday. Assistant sub-inspector Bindu Kumari said that in her complaint the victim has told that she was going to market for some work, when the two youths of her village forcibly took her to some unidentified place where the accused reportedly raped her.
As per the victim the accused dropped her outside the village after rapping her.
After conducting the medical of the victim, the police have registered a case under Sections 376 D (gang rape of woman) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Chetan and Parminder Singh, who are on run.
