A ‘HEALTHY’ BUDGET

The hike of 14.21% in the health budget of Punjab is highly appreciable. So is the decision to set up a medical college at Mohali and Rs 100-crore funding for Patiala Govt Medical College infrastructure. The setting up of tertiary care centres at Hoshiarpur and Fazilka is also praiseworthy. The relief of Rs 1.5 lakh for cancer treatment under the Mukh Mantri Punjab Cancer Rahat too will provide some comfort to cancer patients in the state.
