Haryana to give Shah rousing welcome today; AAP poses seven questions
ROHTAK: BJP national president Amit Shah will receive a grand welcome in Haryana on Wednesday, when he arrives here for his three-day visit.
BJP state president Subhash Barala said a roadshow from the Haryana-Delhi border will be organised till Rohtak to welcome Shah in the state.
On his way from Bahadurgarh to Rohtak, Shah will be welcomed at eight spots by a delegation of state ministers and legislators. He will hold most of his meetings for Wednesday at Tilyar Lake Resorts here, which has been freshly painted and heavy police force deployed for his security.
The Aam Aadmi Party has attacked the BJP chief, posing seven questions for him to answer during his Haryana tour. Addressing a news conference here, AAP Haryana convener Naveen Jaihind asked Shah to explain when the BJP was going to fulfil its promises made during elections.
“The BJP got votes in the name of cow. But when is it going to do anything for cows that are dying on roads without food and shelter?” Jaihind asked. He slammed Shah for the Jat stir that rocked Haryana in February last year, alleging violence happened due to the BJP’s caste politics.
On his three-day tour, Shah is set to hold 23 meetings with party workers, leaders and prominent citizens. Party sources say he will eat lunch at Dalit party workers’ homes and hold meetings with sadhus to build up support for the 2019 elections.
