Indian Oil Day celebrated at Panipat Refinery
Indian Oil Day was celebrated at the Panipat Refinery & Petrochemical Complex (PRPC) with numerous activities. The celebrations kicked off with the inauguration of an exhibition of cloud-based e-health checkup application by B.V Rama Gopal, executive director (I/c), at PRPC Hospital, Township. An ATM facility of the HDFC Bank was also inaugurated at the New Township.
To mark the day as a ‘carbon neutral’ event, a tree plantation drive was held at both the Panipat Refinery and PNC, initiated by V.K. Raizada, executive director (T) and Praveen Nagpal, CGM (I/c) PNC. Further, a blood donation camp was organised in collaboration with the Red Cross Society, Panipat.
Earlier, Rama Gopal inaugurated a cloud-based software package meant for advanced analytics of critical equipment, which works proactively for collecting health information of the equipment which facilitates timely maintenance.
Certain CSR activities were also organised in the village Khora-Kheri, where ED (T) inaugurated a drainage system, a solar power panel of 5 KW and two newly-constructed classrooms at Kachrauli. Six ceiling fans were handed over to the sarpanch of this village and 360 more handed over to the school authorities of Arya Kanya Gurukul Senior Secondary School, village Mor Majra, for the education of girls for their newly-built hostel.
The day ended with felicitations to ex-Indian Oil officials who have attained the age of 75 years, as well as other prizes given away.
