Doctor arrested for molesting mentally challenged girl

HISAR: High drama was witnessed after family members and relatives of a mentally challenged girl thrashed a private doctor for trying to molest her, blackened his face and dragged him to a police station in Fatehabad district town on Friday.

The family members and stormed the clinic of accused Jimmy Jindal, dragged him out and thrashed him. They later forcibly took him to the women’s police station.

Police arrested him and registered a case of molestation against the doctor.

Sources said the mentally challenged girl was brought to Jindal’s clinic for treatment by her mother.

In the police complaint, her mother alleged that the doctor gave the patient some medicines and took her to another room where he was trying to sexually exploit her. The victim was allegedly saved from his clutches by the timely intervention of her mother.

The woman called his relatives who thrashed the doctor, damaged his clinic and blackened his face.

The doctor was then dragged to the police station. Women police station SHO Aruna Singh said, “A case under Section 354 (assault on woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC has been registered against the doctor and he has been arrested . We are investigating nto the matter.”
