Suspected kidnapper beaten up by mob in Bengal’s Malda

BERHAMPORE: A 22-year-old youngster, identified as Aijul Sheikh, a resident of Purnea in Bihar, was beaten up by a mob in Bengal’s Malda district on Friday. The mob suspected he tried to kidnap a four-year-old girl. The youngster was admitted in Malda Medical College and Hospital with critical injuries. For more than a month, people in Malda have reacted violently to such rumours.
