We brought an end to corruption, nepotism: Khattar
YAMUNANAGAR: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday slammed the previous governments in the state, saying that these had been promoting corruption, nepotism and regionalism in government appointments.
“People were suffering due to corruption in the previous governments but in the past four years, the BJP government succeeded in eliminating corruption and nepotism in government appointments,” said Khattar during a roadshow in Yamunanagar on Friday evening.
“Jaise hi 2014 mein janta ne raj badla, humne 1966 se chal rahe raj karne ke treeke ko badal diya, (As people of Haryana voted for a change in 2014, the BJP government brought a change in the government’s working style that had been in place since 1966,” he added.
He also said that people of the state were appreciating their efforts.
The chief minister promised to carry out more developmental works in the remaining one year. “We did not come to enjoy the rule, but to serve the people,” he added.
Accompanied by local member of Parliament (MP) Ratan Lal Kataria, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora, the chief minidter during the 5-km road show in this industrial city also interacted with the people of Yamunanagar assembly constituency.
The protesting multi-purpose health workers, who were planning to show black flags to the chief minister, were not allowed to go out of the civil hospital by the police.
