TWO DAYS AFTER BEING SHOT, TMC SUPPORTER DIES

MIDNAPORE: A 42-year-old Trinamool Congress (TMC) supporter died in a Kolkata hospital on Thursday night, two days after he was shot at, police officials familiar with the matter said. On November 6, two men barged into deceased Pintu Sinha’s house in Purulia district’s Parui village, about 275 km from Kolkata, and fired at him, police said. He was hospitalised. “We have arrested Babu Bauri and Indrajit Roy in connection with the incident. We are continuing with our probe to find out the motive behind the crime,” said Akash Magharia, Purulia district police superintendent. BJP leaders, who did not wish to be named, said the two men were supporters of their party.
