Directorate unable to act against schools shunning NCERT books

DEHRADUN:THE state directorate of school education has no powers to take action against schools affiliated to the Central CBSE that have been served two notices over using NON-NCERT books, according to the director general of school education. In October, private schools in the state were asked to submit replies on why they asked students to buy reference books which were higher than the price range of NCERT books.
