Hisar: comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Bhim Rao Ambedkar of the 21st century, chief minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar said Modi is the only prime minister who gave 10% reservation to economically backward of Swarna community.
Addressing the oadh community swabhiman mahasammelan in Hisar on Sunday, the Haryana chief minister said, “In the 20th century, lawmaker Bhim Rao Ambedkar gave reservation to poor people and now PM Narendra Modi has given 10% reservation to the economically backward sections of the Swarna community.”
Khattar said the community has worked very hard for the development of the state and so the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state and centre has launched several schemes for them.
He added the state government will also provide ₹21 lakh for the construction of a dharamshala for the oadh community in Hisar, said chief minister (CM) Manohar Lal Khattar.
Social justice and empowerment minister Krishan Kumar Bedi, who was also present on the occasion, said, “Bring the BJP government in the state again and the government which is already working for all sections, will work more for the poor people.” Besides this, the CM also inaugurated a railway overbridge over Hisar-sadalpur railway crossing.
