PRIME ACCUSED ARRESTED
AMRITSAR: The Tarn Taran police on Saturday arrested Gurdev Singh, the prime accused in the case of fraudulently sending four Punjabis to Armenia.
Gurdev was arrested following a tip-off. He was on his way to Piddi village in his SUV when the cops nabbed him after a brief chase, said senior superintendent of police Darshan Singh Mann.
Gurdev, a resident of Butala village in Kapurthala, was a middleman between the victims and two agents—paramjeet and Harpreet 1 according to an FIR registered in the Bholath police station. Jaswinder Singh of Beas and Komaldeep of Jandiala in Amritsar have already been arrested in the case.
