Exec, un­cle as­saulted, robbed on ex­press­way

GURUGRAM : A 28-year-old ex­ec­u­tive and his un­cle were al­legedly as­saulted and robbed of their be­long­ings at gun­point at Shankar Chowk on Fri­day night, the po­lice. The in­ci­dent took place while the ex­ec­u­tive was re­turn­ing home from Jaipur to Mukher­jee Na­gar in Delhi.

Ac­cord­ing to the po­lice, six men were fol­low­ing them for around 20 min­utes be­fore the rob­bery. When they reached Shankar Chowk, the group in­ter­cepted their SUV in their Mahin­dra Xylo, held them at gun­point, snatched the car keys and bru­tally as­saulted the duo with iron rods and liquor bot­tles, and broke the side mir­ror of the car, the po­lice said. The group then pulled the duo out of the car and snatched their mo­bile phones, wal­let and gold chains along with other be­long­ings, the po­lice said.

They force­fully threw them out of the car but could not make off with the ve­hi­cle as there was traf­fic on the ex­press­way. They fled with the ex­ec­u­tive’s be­long­ings, said po­lice.
