AMAN ARORA NOT KEEN ON LS TICKET
Will they or won’t they? The infighting-ridden Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which won Lok Sabha seats on debut in 2014, is contemplating to field party MLAS to bolster its prospects in the forthcoming parliamentary prospects. Though the names of three MLAS, including Aman Arora and Amarjit Singh Sandoa, have been doing the rounds, they do not seem keen. Arora’s name was considered for Ludhiana or Patiala. While Patiala MP Dr Dharamvira Gandhi was suspended from the AAP for anti-party activities three years ago, HS Phoolka, who came second in Ludhiana in 2014, quit the party last month. The candidature of Arora, who is MLA from Sunam and remains active in taking up issues in the state assembly and outside, was discussed in a party meeting held in Delhi last week, but he didn’t show much interest. Other MLAS being considered by the party leadership, too, were not enthused over the idea.
