6% DA IN PUNJAB JUST AN ELECTION SOP

After two years of assuming power, the Punjab government’s 6% dearness allowance to employees and pensioners is just an election sop. Four DA instalments of 16% are due. Even the Centre’s 9% DA instalment on new scales is pending. Punjab must give these instalments on half-yearly basis on the pattern of the Centre.
