TDP BOSS’ EVM CONCERN UNFOUNDED

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s concern over the electronic voting machine (EVM) functioning is uncalled for. Malfunctioning of EVMS in some segments may be due to technical glitches and poor maintenance. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has all the resources to ensure a smooth voting process. Incidents of violence and malfunctioning of EVMS can’t be the basis for return to the paper-ballot system. The CM, who was once head of digital campaign committee, should not raise the bogey of EVM and question the ECI solely out of a compulsive Mahagathbandhan politics.
