MAJOR RESHUFFLE IN PUNJAB POLICE
CHANDIGARH: In a major reshuffle in Punjab Police, the state government on Monday transferred 31 IPS and more than 200 PPS officers, including commissioner of police (CP), Amritsar and Ludhiana, and SSPS of Faridkot and Muktsar.
CHANDIGARH:IN a major reshuffle in Punjab police, 31 IPS and over 200 PPS officers were transferred. The state government shifted Amritsar and Ludhiana commissioners and SSPS of Faridkot and Muktsar. A per the home department orders, ADGP, IT and telecommunication, Kuldeep Singh is now ADGP, Punjab Armed Police (PAP), replacing IPS Sahota, who is now special DGP, home guards. Saneejv Kalra is ADGP railways; Varinder Kumar is ADGP, security, with additional charge of community affairs division and NRI.
Jitendra Jain will be ADGP, crime-cum-director, SCRB Chandigarh (under DBOI) and ADGP, special operations (training), Patiala (additional charge); RN Dhoke as ADGP internal security; Arpit Shukla as ADGP, provisioning, with additional charge of ADGP welfare; Rakesh Chandra is ADGP, operations, and ADGP, SOG, with headquarters at Patiala (additional charge of commando battalions); Naresh Kumar IG intelligence (administration); Ram Singh as IG, information technology and technical services and SS Srivastava is IG, intelligence.
The government appointed IG, STF, B Chandra Sekhar as IG Ferozepur range; AS Rai as IG, headquarters, with additional charge of Ig-cum-director, vigilance; Jatinder Aulakh as IG, Patiala range; V Neeraja as IG, community affairs division and women affairs; Pramod Ban as IG, STF; Amit Prasad as IG, counter-intelligence, with additional charge of IG, Ropar range; Vibhu Raj as IG provisioning and modernisation; Arun Kumar as IG, Bathinda range; MF Farooqui as IG, PAP-2 Jalandhar; Balkar Sidhu as IG, STF; Gurvinder Dhillon as IG, crime (Bol); MS Chinna as IG, human rights; Rakesh Agarwal and Sukhchain Singh as Ludhiana and Amritsar commissioners.
SK Singh is IG, crime (additional charge of IG security); Gurpreet Toor is DIG administration, with additional charge of director, digital investigation, training and analysis centre; Inderbir Singh is AIG, cyber crime and modernisation, with additional charge of celebrations of 550th year of birth anniversary of Guru Nanak; Patil Ketan Baliram is AIG, CI, Amritsar (additional charge of commandant PAP 9th battalion, Amritsar). Gulneet Khurana will be AIG, CI, with additional charge of deputy director, DITAC. Raj Bachan Sandhu is Muktsar SSP, replacing Manjit Singh, who has now been appointed Faridkot SSP.
