Indian Space Research Organisation is responsible for space missions of our country. Many scientists such as APJ Abdul Kalam, our former president known as the Missile Man of India, worked at ISRO. The space missions planned and launched by ISRO are beneficial for our country.

Communication speed has increased manifold. We can connect to anybody and search for anything at a fast speed with the help of 4G internet. We can get weather information in advance that is helpful for farmers. These missions help in identifying alarming situations such as global warming, melting of glaciers, climate changes, any variations in the ozone layer and space threats like approaching meteorites and asteroids. Satellites help in doing better and advance planning in case of natural calamities. The GPS, which runs with the help of satellites, has many benefits. Ola/uber cabs use this system and it has transformed local transportation. ISRO is planning to launch a series of satellites that will improve the GPS system of the Indian subcontinent.

These satellites help our army maintain strong security at the border. The cost of many ISRO missions like Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) and Chandrayaan-2 is economical in comparison to other international space agencies. These missions motivate and encourage students like me to make a career in the field of science and technology. They feel inspired to create new inventions for the betterment of society. Space missions increase national pride and raise respect of our country in the world.
