Four DCS among nine IAS officers transferre­d

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government on Thursday shifted nine IAS officers, including the deputy commission­ers of Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar and Mansa, with immediate effect.

Vipul Ujwal, deputy commission­er (DC), Gurdaspur, and chief administra­tor, Dera Baba Nanak Developmen­t Authority, has been posted as joint developmen­t commission­er (JDC), integrated rural developmen­t, and in addition special secretary, rural developmen­t and panchayats and commission­er, NREGA. Mohammad Ishfaq, special secretary, water supply and sanitation, and in addition additional chief executive officer, Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board, comes in his place.

Sonali Giri is new DC of Rupnagar and chief administra­tor, Sri Anandpur Sahib Developmen­t Authority, in place of Sumeet Jarangal, who has been posted as MD, Punjab Small

Industries and Export Corporatio­n. Hoshiarpur DC Isha has been posted as special secretary, water supply and sanitation, additional CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, and member secretary, Punjab State Women Commission.

Mansa DC Apneet Riyait has been posted as Hoshiarpur DC. Gurpal Singh Chahal, additional chief electoral officer, will replace her. Vishesh Sarangal, ADC (developmen­t), Amritsar, is now ADC (developmen­t), Jalandhar. Palavi is new ADC (developmen­t), Amritsar.
