FIVE-YEAR PRISON TO FOREST GUARD
HISAR: The local court awarded five-year prison to a forest guard accused of corruption. The court also slapped a ₹35,000 fine on him. The accused, Radhe Shyam, accepted a bribe of ₹25,000 from a farmer of Pali village in Narnaund subdivision by threatening to impose a fine in a case of felling trees. The court held him guilty and the quantum punishment was announced.
