States ready to resume flights, conditions apply

One-third of domestic flight operations will begin on Monday after a gap of nearly two months with state-specific rules on arrival and safety protocol for passengers

Karnataka

■ Anyone coming from six states with “high prevalence” of Covid-19 (Maharashtr­a, Gujarat, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh) will be kept in institutio­nal quarantine for seven days

■ Those testing negative will have to spend the next seven days in home quarantine

■ Passengers from remaining states will have to undergo 14 days of home quarantine

Maharashtr­a

■ The Mumbai airport will deal with only 50 domestic flights per day from Monday

■ Even those without symptoms likely to get home quarantine stamp

■ Those coming for short trips likely to be exempt

West Bengal

■ Kolkata and Bagdogra airports will resume domestic services from May 28

■ Operations will begin with each handling only 20 flights a day

■ Asymptomat­ic passengers will be permitted to pass on the condition that they monitor their health for 14 days

Punjab

■ Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh says all incoming passengers will be put in home quarantine for 14 days

■ Those found symptomati­c will be kept in isolation and Covid-19 test will be conducted on them

Goa

■ On arrival, passengers will be given an option of getting themselves tested for Rs 2,000 or they may opt for a mandatory 14-day home quarantine if they do not have symptoms

■ If found having symptoms, passengers will be tested

Chhattisga­rh

■ Even those without symptoms will have to be in home quarantine or hotel quarantine

Bihar

■ No provision for quarantini­ng asymptomat­ic passengers

Jammu and Kashmir

■ The Jammu and Kashmir government has said all incoming passengers will have to undergo “administra­tive quarantine” for a fortnight

Tamil Nadu

■ Passengers to register themselves on govt portal (Tnepass)

■ Even those asymptomat­ic will have to undergo 14-day home quarantine

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

■ Telangana won’t stop asymptomat­ic passengers

■ All symptomati­c passengers arriving in Andhra will be under quarantine

■ Those asymptomat­ic will be in home isolation for 14 days

■ Also, services in Andhra will resume from May 26

Kerala

■ Entry passes a must for all domestic passengers

■ State has opened a website for this

■ Those who come without this pass will have to undergo a 14-day institutio­nal quarantine

■ For business travellers and others who are coming for a brief stopover, quarantine is not necessary

Assam

■ All incoming passengers will have to undergo facility and/or home quarantine for a total 14 days

■ Those who test negative will be allowed to go home earlier; but they will have to be in isolation till the completion of 14 days

Uttarakhan­d

■ Depending on a passenger’s health examinatio­n and travel history, a decision will be taken

Rajasthan

■ People arriving at Jaipur airport will have to undergo 14 days of home quarantine

■ Those coming for business and those with a negative report will be allowed to move around after seven days

Madhya Pradesh

■ Passengers will have to go to government facility for Covid-19 testing if they have symptoms

■ Only passengers testing positive will be kept in institutio­nal quarantine for 10 days

Odisha

■ Twelve flights will begin operating from the Bhubaneswa­r airport from Monday, while three from Jharsuguda airport

■ If someone is coming for 3 days or 72 hours, no mandatory quarantine is required

■ If someone is going out for 72 hours, there’s no need of quarantine after coming back within three days

■ For others, 14-day quarantine, home or institutio­nal, is mandatory

Himachal Pradesh

■ Resident passengers arriving will undergo thermal screening and will be quarantine­d for 28 days —7 days will be institutio­nal and 21 days at home

■ Non-resident passengers will not be allowed entry and will be sent back from an institutio­nal quarantine to their home state

Mizoram

■ Only permanent residents of the state and government employees stranded in other parts will be allowed to return

■ Fourteen days’ institutio­nal quarantine is mandatory for all

Meghalaya

■ Passengers will be picked up from Guwahati airport and brought to Shillong or Tura

■ They will be kept in institutio­nal quarantine for at least 48 hours and their tests will be conducted

■ Those found negative will be allowed to go home
