HK court keeps 47 dissidents in custody

HONG KONG: A Hong Kong court on Thursday ordered 47 prodemocracy activists charged under the new national security law to be kept in custody after the department of justice appealed an initial decision to grant 15 of them bail. A total of 31 dissidents were denied bail outright. The 15 initially granted bail are to appear in court within 48 hours.
