NEW SIT FORMED TO MISLEAD PEOPLE: MANN

-

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president and MP Bhagwant Mann said that the new SIT was formed to mislead the people of Punjab.

In a statement, Mann said this was only a betrayal of the sentiments of the people of Punjab as the Amarinder government was serious about the police firing and sacrilege cases. The government should have filed an appeal against the quashing of the probe by earlier SIT. “The Captain government’s steering is in the hands of the Badals, and Amarinder is just trying to save his chair,” he added.

Govt adopting evasive methods: Chugh

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday blasted the Amarinder government for taking recourse to evasive methods to shield the culprits of sacrilege. Chugh said there is no international conspiracy in these cases that we need an SIT. “There have been a series of incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib following which the Kotkapura police firing took place for which a simple magisterial or judicial inquiry should have sufficed,” he said.
