Moga woman murdered, neighbour held

MOGA : The police here have arrested a 25-yearold man for allegedly killing a 55-year-old woman living in her neighbourhood with sharp-edged weapon at Kartar Colony in Dharamkot late on Friday night. The accused had borrowed some money from the victim, but when she demanded it back, he killed her. The deceased has been identified as Balwinder Kaur while the accused is Manpreet Singh. ASI Balvir Singh said they have recorded the statement of the victim’s son and registered a case under sections 302, 452 and 506 of the IPC.
