BKU vice-president among 15 booked for flouting curfew orders in Sonepat

Bharatiya Kisan Union(bku) state vicepresid­ent Satywan Narwal and 14 others, who had gathered at Ambedkar Chowk in Sonepat’s Gohana two days ago and moved towards Singhu border carrying wheat in five trolleys, were booked for allegedly violating prohibitor­y orders under Section 144 of the CRPC, officials said on Saturday. In view of surge in Covid-19 cases, district magistrate had imposed Section 144 which bars assembly of four or more persons. Gohana city SHO Savit Kumar said that they have registered a case against 15 farmers for violating prohibitor­y orders.
