AAP’S Kejri anthem
Hours after the Election Commission announced the polls dates, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released the ‘Kejriwal Anthem’ for the Punjab elections. The video song titled “Kejriwal Hai”, a paean to the party’s national convener and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, was launched by the AAP from its official handle on Sunday with the caption “The wait is finally over! #Kejriwalanthem for #Punjabelections is here”.
In the video, he is shown telling people, “You gave 25 years to the Congress and 19 years to the Akali Dal. I am only asking for five years”. The song, which also briefly features AAP’S state unit chief Bhagwant Mann, has been crooned by singer-turned-politician Anmol Gagan Maan who winds it up with an appeal, “Ek Mauka AAP nu, Ek Mauka Kejriwal nu”.
