Degrees on sale is tragic

Two private universities in Himachal Pradesh Manav Bharti University, Solan, and APG University, Shimla, have been indicted of selling degrees. These varsities were established over a decade ago, and survived only because of a nexus of politicians, government officials and university authorities. These fake degrees mock at our system. The University Grants Commission (UGC) also failed in its primary duty of ensuring that the varsity was genuine. The varsities’ portal must be closed and promoters jailed at the earliest.
