Incompetent Punjab Police

The breach in PM security underlines the incompetence of the Punjab Police. Seen in this light, the Union home ministry was right in extending the jurisdiction of the Border Security Force (BSF) to up to 50 km from the international border. If high profile IPS officers are handin-glove with the state government on an issue as sensitive as PM security, then will any action ever be taken against the drug mafia is anybody’s guess. Police officers must realise that they are government servants, and not politicians.
