Treat women as equals

Apropos, ‘How to ensure more women in the workforce (April 30), a lot of women want to join the workforce, but are facing impediments such as lower pay scales and longer working hours as compared to their male counterparts. The working conditions too leave much to be desired as they are not treated as equals and also have to face sexual harassment. To ensure women do not miss out on jobs, we must stop making their lives a bed of thorns.
