PVT BUS DRIVER MOWS DOWN GIRL IN GURUGRAM

GURUGRAM: A 10-year-old girl died after she was allegedly hit by a private bus near Babupur village, adjacent to the Dwarka Expressway, on Saturday evening, said the police on Sunday.

The bus driver was identified as Jai Singh, a resident of Delhi’s Chhawla, said the police.

According to a complaint filed by Munni Lal Mandal, a native of Bihar’s Bhagalpur and a resident of Babupur village, his wife and their elder daughter Pinky — the victim — had gone to pick up garbage in the area where the accident took place. “My daughter came under the bus’ rear wheel when the driver was taking a turn near a liquor shop. The incident took place due to his negligence. My severely injured daughter was taken to the Civil Hospital, where the doctors declared her dead”, said Mandal.

The police have arrested the driver, and also seized the bus he was driving.
