Non-pensioner senior citizens need govt help

The Centre perhaps thinks that inflation does not affect non-pensioner senior citizens, a neglected section of society. The reduction in deposit rates adversely affects their plight since they survive on interest income, which is depleting by the day. A large chunk of their monthly income from interest on deposits is spent on medical treatment. Ayush security is also selective. The government must think of giving them reasonable pension and at least 1% rate of interest more upon the already prevailing interest for senior citizens.
