This crisis calls for power revolution
Due to coal shortage, Punjab is seeing unprecedented power cuts. Over time, our reliance on fossil fuels has increased. The prices of petrol and diesel have also skyrocketed. This crisis calls for a power revolution. People should start transitioning to renewable sources of energy such as solar power, available in abundance. The government should be conducting research and development for shifting to other forms of power. Shifting to electrical vehicles will help India reduce its dependence on other countries for oil. For electricity, India could shift to harnessing energy from the sun, wind, and tides instead of depending merely on coal. Ishita Kukreja
