Budget & the aam aadmi

The new Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab has gone all out to seek suggestions from the general public for its ‘janta budget’ for the current fiscal. Finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema first launched a portal – https:// finance.punjab.gov.in/pbfeedback - to seek suggestions, announcing that they will also take feedback of people at 15 places in the state. Two days later, the state government published advertisements of chief minister Bhagwant Mann inviting people to send their suggestions to punjabdabudget@gmail.com or submit them at local MLA or deputy commissioner’s offices. There was no mention of the finance minister or the portal in the ads.
