Liquor vends can stay open 24x7 in Haryana cities, towns

Bacchus lovers in urban Haryana can buy liquor from vends round the clock from June 12. The state government has allowed the retail liquor outlets to sell booze in cities and towns from 8 am to 8 am on payment of extra license fee. Liquor vends in rural areas though will have to shut down by 11 pm. Excise and taxation minister Dushyant Chautala said that bars have not been allowed to stay open 24x7 but for six hours after 2 am on payment of additional annual fee of Rs 20 lakh. As of now, bars in Panchkula, Gurugram and Faridabad are allowed to open till 6 am on payment if extra fee.
