Society should broaden its horizon

This refers to the editorial “Two faiths, and a story marred by hate” (HT, May 7). It is disturbing to observe that there exists a lot of hatred in society between different faiths. The young couple was in love and decided to marry. Instead of blessing the couple, the family members of the girl chose to kill the boy. Society at large needs to come out of the narrow mindset and broaden its horizon. No religion teaches hatred.
