‘ENGAGE CONSULTANT­S FOR DISTRICT SURVEY REPORTS ON SAND MINING’

MOHALI: The Punjab mines and geology department has asked all the district administra­tions in the state to engage consultant­s for the preparing district survey reports on sand mining.

The consultant­s be engaged in terms of Sustainabl­e Sand Mining Management Guidelines, 2016 and Enforcemen­t and Monitoring Guidelines for Sand Mining, 2020 issued by the ministry of environmen­t, forest and climate change and in accordance with the various directions issued by the Supreme Court, according to a press release issued here.

B Srinivasan, director, mines and geology, in the statement, stated that the notice for Expression of Interest along with various details can be downloaded from the official website of the concerned districts in the state and from the department’s website www.minesandge­ology.punjab.gov.in.
