Bodies of two teens fished out of Bhakra canal

The bodies of two teenagers, who had drowned in Bhakra canal near Punjab’s Rajpura, were fished out on Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as Pardeep Billu, 14, and Lakhbir Singh, 16. Ganda Kheri police station SHO, Kirpal Singh said the incident took place when some children had gone to the canal on late Monday evening. The additional district magistrate of Patiala has issued orders forbidding the general public from taking a dip in canals till July 8.
