Sectors that bore the brunt

There are 19 sector-wise indices in the BSE Sensex. All of these, bar one, have shown negative growth in April 2022, data shows. Metal (-20%), realty (-19%), and IT (-18%) sectors were the biggest losers whose stock prices dipped over 18% or above on May 12, from April 4. Only one sector – power – exhibited positive growth of 0.3% on May 12, from April 4.
