2 HELD AS MAN DIES OF ‘DRUG OVERDOSE’ IN SANGRUR

SANGRUR: A day after a 22-yearold man died of suspected drug overdose in Dhuri, Sangrur police arrested two persons on Saturday. The accused were identified as Arvinder Singh, a resident of Dhura village, and Sainti, a resident of Dhuri.

The victim’s brother told the police that the 22-year-old had been taking drugs for the last seven years, and Arvinder and Sainti had been supplying it to him. Sangrur senior superintendent of police Mandeep Singh Sidhu, said, “The duo has been arrested under Section 304 (death by negligence) of IPC.”
