Don’t erase history

This refers to Karan Thapar’s Why changing names of places is erroneous (May 8). The author hits the nail on the head. We cannot, and must not, distort the history of a land just because that time in history doesn’t align with present-day views. This appears to have become a trend in India, which must stop, before we erase India’s rich history.
