Kudos to Mann for ending VIP culture in jails

Now, VIP criminals will not be able to treat jails as their proverbial “in-laws’ house” where all their whims and fancies are catered to. CM Bhagwant Mann is right to insist that all jail inmates should be treated equally. VIPS and influential persons were being provided with coolers, televisions, and several other facilities. Anyone who commits a crime and lands in jail does not deserve VIP treatment. In every jail, mobile phones are being recovered. Strict action should be taken against criminals using mobiles and jail staffers supplying mobiles and drugs to inmates. Jammers should be installed in jails and there should CCTV vigilance in jail cells. Now, jails have become hubs of criminal activity because big shots control their businesses from jails with mobile phones. Capt Amar Jeet
