Fine airlines staff for indifference
This refers to the report of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) prudently declaring that the Indigo staff made a mess of the case of a specially abled child by not permitting him to board at the Ranchi airport recently (HT, May 17). The airlines staff should have compassionately dealt with the child and his attendants, especially when other passengers had no objection if he travelled. They should be adequately fined for their indifferent attitude. Dr Sunil Chopra
