Majithia seeks probe in naib tehsildar recruitment scam
CHANDIGARH: Former minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Wednesday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe or a judicial inquiry into the multi-crore scam in the recruitment of naib tehsildars by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). Majithia said that CM Bhagwant Mann should hand over the investigation to the CBI or a sitting judge of the High Court. “70,000 candidates who appeared for the examination want the entire investigation to be transparent,” he said. Meanwhile, Bholath MLA and Congress leader, Sukhpal Singh Khaira also demanded court monitored inquiry.
